[ABOUT]
Jöro Ceramics is an artisanal ceramics studio dedicated to crafting entirely handmade pieces. From plates and mugs to vases and conceptual artworks, Jöro's aim is to connect people with nature, beginning with clay.
The core concept of the project was to establish a profound connection with the land, which is reflected in the brand's visual identity and name. Jöro, or Jord, originates from Norse mythology. As the mother of Thor and Meili, she is a jötunn and embodies the earth itself.
[SOLUTION]
In the visual identity, a symbol was created that combines ceramic pieces (bowls) with a smile, bringing a light, welcoming, and playful tone to the brand. The symbol can be used independently when necessary but also integrates into the logo, replacing one of the "o"s. This results in a distinctive brand that stands out and embodies its core principles.
Additionally, I developed a palette featuring earthy and muted tones, adding elegance to the project and drawing inspiration from the studio's primary source: nature.
